Reseña del Académico
Su investigación se enfoca a la relación entre la tectónica y la sedimentación. Ha contribuido al entendimiento de la evolución geológica del sector occidental de México y su papel en las reconstrucciones paleogeográficas globales. Es responsable del desarrollo de la línea de investigación sobre análisis de cuencas sedimentarias dentro del Instituto de Geología. En los últimos 7 años ha trabajado en la generación de la línea de investigación de Geología Forense.
